Kentucky Air Guard, U.S. Navy Reserves team with other services and Delta Regional Authority to offer health care at no cost in Western Kentucky

Col. Michael Cooper, commander of the Kentucky Air National Guard’s 123rd Medical Group, receives a hug from a Western Kentucky resident as thanks for the no-cost medical care she received at a military clinic at Paducah Tilghman High School in Paducah, Ky., July 23, 2016. The clinic and two others in Western Kentucky have provided thousands of medical, dental and optical services to area residents since standing up July 18 as part of a program called Bluegrass Medical Innovative Readiness Training. The program is a partnership between the U.S. Department of Defense and the Delta Regional Authority, with care provided by members of the U.S. Navy Reserve and the Air National Guard.
