Bosslift gives civilian employers up-close look at 123rd Airlift Wing
Col. Jeffrey Wilkinson, vice commander of the Kentucky Air National Guard’s 123rd Airlift Wing, explains to civilian employers a display on the Battle of Takur Ghar at the National Museum of the United States Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, Oct. 26, 2016. A former pararescueman form the wing, Tech. Sgt. Keary Miller, is featured in the exhibit. Miller was awarded the Silver Star for his actions during the battle’s 15-hour firefight on an Afghan mountain, helping save numerous comrades while repeatedly putting his own life in extreme danger. The employers were at the museum as part of an Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve “Bosslift” designed to enhance their understanding of the wing’s mission and the work their employees do when serving as reservists in the Kentucky Air Guard.
