The 123rd Airlift Wing Honor Guard presents the colors during a ceremony to bestow the Distinguished Flying Cross at the Kentucky Air National Guard Base in Louisville, Ky., Aug. 10, 2019. The award recipient, Lt. Col. John " J.T." Hourigan, earned the medal for decisive action following a catastrophic mechanical failure while flying a C-130 aircraft during a routine training sortie, saving the lives of six crew members and a $30 million aircraft.
